Bill Gates and his sudden charity inch

Obviously people think Bill Gates has sudden and unexplainable urge to give money away to people. Yeah, just like that. Well, to be more exact - to give 245 EUR to everyone who forwards certain spam email to others and they forward it too.

It might sound unbelievable probably because it is but many people obviously think: What the heck, it can't hurt if I try, right? My mailbox says too many...

There should be a new word for describing chain letters since annoying doesn't quite fit anymore. Please stop it.

Bill Gates is rich for a reason. Sending emails is not the reason.

Isn't it a pain in the butt when people send you this stuff!!
Send 50Euro to my Paypal account and you'll have good luck all day - honest!

truefaith.. wait, seriously? If I send 100 do you promise to double my good luck? :)

What I usually do is send people the appropriate Snopes page back. I will also sometimes append a little comment of my own, like "Read this, turdface!" or "Why are you bothering me with this, jackass?"

Here's the page about Gates.

@Justin - If I send you 50 Euros, can you make it so I don't get any more of them ? Like ever :)?

@michael - many thanks for the Snopes link. I love your answers too - they are so Maddox like :)

I hate those chain-bollocks as well!

But not as much as the ones, that try to sell you stories about urgent unaffortable operations for their sick kids ... Those are free, everyone knows that, and that's why I can't understand why people still forward them??
