Grimmski baby!

Talk about music surprises - yesterday I was completely blown away by an excellent slovenian darkish pop rock band :grimmski. Not much of a band performance but the music was amazing. First impressions can be deceiving:the lead singer seems like this baby face shy boy but only until he opens his mouth. I think I'm not exaggerating when I say his deep strong voice could dig a hole. Mushu referred to him as The voice, while Betty, JinX and me were busy being amazed. Not to mention quite talented back vocalist.

I loved all the songs, especially Obsession, Necromancer and Blackout. Without doubt they are original and yes I want to hear more. Besides their own songs they made quite decent Doors and Moloko covers. However the Rolling Stones: Anybody seen my baby was completely redundant and Depeche mode cover didn't meet the Depeche mode criteria.

Honestly I don't know why they bothered with covers in the first place since their music is actually excellent. Best slovenian dark band I heard since Silence. By the way - their album Random Saviour is available on their website for free download.

Dunno what qualifies for "dark", but in this context I would never forget mentioning Melodrom.
